It took me a while to get into the rhythm of this book, perhaps because I hadn’t read book 1.

I usually don’t read books out of order, but I had Karen Macinernet on my author’s alert at the library for the beading book that she finished for Barbara Burnett Smith and the Gray Whale Inn mysteries and this book was reserved for me.


She is drawn to a werewolf who has assisted her with the pack and romanced by a client. She thd has to decide if she should join their pack starting at the very bottomor find a way to convince them to allow her immunity.

I actually came to like him towards the end. Mark sort of overshadows the two other men. Karen MacInerney did not disappoint!

Sophie bugs me a little, she bumbles her way around with everything in her life from Heath, to Lindsey, to macimerney the crazy werewolf stuff. What does it say about her life that she keeps wolfsbane tea and disposable razors in her purse?

I’m looking forward to the macinerey one Should she warn Lindsey that she is dating a werewolf? He was also a well developed character, shrouded by mystery. She keeps going on and on and she keeps getting in more and more trouble! And since I am not sure what is compelling me to keep reading and I have the next one sitting on the shelf I’ll see if it can bring some resolution.
